Wow, I have no words when it comes to this place. It was absolutely wonderful to be in a home away from home. The place is absolutely stunning with an amazing view of the beach. It is extremely quiet and peaceful and has everything you need. It is fully equipped with the essentials which makes life so much easier. The house is beautiful and has such a modern yet homely feel to it. Jan the owner is kind and incredible. Always willing to help and assist at any time of the day and goes the extra mile. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking to visit Port Edward.

The place was amazing and serene. Tranquility in the midst of a holiday destination. Jan the host was amazing, he was so helpful and generous to share information daily. The helper was also amazing, she was so kind and even helped us settle into our little birthday getaway that was a surprise to a family member. Jan is amazing ... the sea cottage is amazing ... if u looking for a home away from home... then this is the place to go.

Beautiful and spacious house set in a tranquil area. Watching the sun rise and set on the upper deck was beautiful. The braai area was spacious as well as cosy at the same time. The beach is a short distance away. Home is safe and secure. Thank u Jan for the beautiful long weekend. Would definitely like to visit again.

The place is awesome. Stay was awesome, place very neat, up to mark, no single fault, value for money. Hats off to the owner. I will definitely go back next year.

The cottage is very comfortable. Was up to date. Had everything, nothing was short. Safe very neat and peaceful. I will definitely recommend the place to my family and friends. Worth every single cent. Thank you Jan for everything.

Safe area and house set-up is awesome.

Very safe area and the house set is really good, everything was is order, clean with water back-up system. Big Fish Seaside Cottage will see me again.

Accommodation is amazing, stunning views of the ocean. Place is neat and tidy and can accommodate many guests given the design of the home. Home is equipped with everything you can think of. The host was exceptionally professional, friendly and considerate. He maintained contact with us to ensure we are fine, also kept us up to date with important notifications etc. Home is also private ensuring your stay is quiet and peaceful. Loved the birds and rich vegetation. Stunning morning breakfasts on the patio overlooking the ocean. Host also arranged a helper to assist us clean up and attend to laundry etc. I highly I recommend this place to those that are looking for a lovely break away. Thanks Jan, brilliant hosting👍🏿

A Hidden Gem! Amazing host and an amazing little spot! You feel as though you’re in a jungle with the ocean. A very tranquil place to visit. The beach was only a short drive away and we watched many beautiful sunsets from the patio. Very clean, very organised and felt like a perfect holiday get away. We had an amazing time, no complications and no hassle. All good reviews, definitely going back

What a quality vacation home with all the amenities and a lot of luxuries for an incredible family vacation stay. Our host, Jan, was always available for enquiries about the Cottage and surroundings and provided excellent service. The cottage has all the comforts including inverter and 7500l liter water tanks in case of loadshedding and water shortages in the area. We arrived to a clean home with fresh luxurious bedding and a plethora of comfy soft towels. We have visited the South-Coast plenty of times before and this was our first stay at Big Fish Seaside Cottage and we will return here again and again. The view of the ocean is spectacular and the two large patios are furnished with lots of comfortable seating. Our best South-Coast stay by far!!!! Thank you Jan for sharing your beautiful seaside oasis with our family! See you again soon.

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in the idyllic setting of Leisure Bay at Big Fish.
Everything we needed during our stay was available in the well appointed home.
The ocean view from the top floor and deck as well as the distant lights at night of Port Edward was magical, as well as the distant roar of the ocean.
There are also beautiful outlook points and Kidds beach is a safe bathing beach.
There was a sense of living in a tree house with wildlife in abundance, literally at birds eye view.
I can’t wait to go back and relax some more. We left there chilled to the bone.

We had a lovely stay at the Big Fish Seaside Cottage over the Mothers day weekend. Very spacious rooms, with linen provided. Jan the owner was very personable and always checked in to make sure we had everything, and that all was well with our stay. We never ran out of water even though Ugu had water shortages at the time, all bathrooms were tidy and neat with fresh towels. Kitchen had everything you would need including glasses for all types of beverages. It's located in an ideal spot as you are in the center of everything you would want to see and experience when visiting the South Coast. Wish we had more time to enjoy the beaches, but it's all the more reason to go back. Overall our experience was wonderfully pleasant. Thank you Jan for making us feel so comfortable and well received. We will definitely be visiting in the near future and it's a spot to tell others about.

This spacious cottage in the heart of Leisure bay is a perfect getaway for a big family. The home was neat and tidy and well equipped making the stay more cozy and comfy. Ian, all I will like to say it that the cottage is truly a dream home. You are an amazing host, who checked on us every day and even sent me times for loadshedding so I could prepare. You made us feel like home. I will recommend the seaside cottage to anyone who wants to relax, have fun and know that everything is available. Port Edward had no drinking water, but Ian made sure there was 5 x 20lts containers filled and had 5 x 5lts extra. There was plenty of towels and the place was super clean. Braai coal and wood was also provided. Thank you for our extra night stay also, due to weather we had issues traveling back, and you advised a night extra for us to stay. Perfect Easter weekend gift for my family. You are a very generous soul. May God bless you and your family.
